Last night Maarten and her 5 chicks slept for the first time in one of the 2 cabins downstairs in the chicken run.

This morning I found one of the little chicks lying on the ground, half dead.

Probably she fell down the stairs during the night

I took her inside, warmed her in my hands and then fed her some water

After a couple of hours she made a recovery

In the afternoon the same thing happened to a chick of the little brown one. After the same treatment she revovered as well and the two enjoyed each other's company and huddled together
